M. Reagin Irene

Irene M. Reagin, age 70, longtime resident of Ovid, died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Huntington Living Center, following an extended illness.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am to Noon on Monday, January 19, 2015 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street in Ovid, a funeral service will then be held there at Noon.

Irene was born on January 9, 1944 in Cortland, a daughter of Dorothy Garner. Her grandparents, Ernest and Grace Garner played a large role in her upbringing. She attended Cortland schools, and was married to James A. Reagin at a young age. Together they raised a large family and she enjoyed the simple pleasure of being a homemaker.

Irene is survived by her children, Cheryl Obele of PA, Suzanne Reagin of Ithaca, James Reagin Jr. of Ovid, Brenda Reagin of Waterloo and Tamara Gavens of Greece, 4 grandchildren, and her siblings, Connie Reagin-Dominger of Groton and Michael Tomasso of Cortland. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James A. Reagin in 2011, and by her brothers, Anthony and John Tomasso.
