M. Rosbaugh Leona

Leona May Rosbaugh, age 95, formerly of Lodi passed away at Geneva Living Center on Monday, July 4, 2016.

The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 So. Main Street in Ovid. A funeral service will then be held at 11:00am, officiated by Pastor Nancy Yao, of the Lodi Presbyterian Church. Prayers of Committal will follow at West Lodi Cemetery. Leona was born on June 17, 1921 in Lodi to the late Charles and Helen (Bainbridge) Jennings. She worked as a therapy aide at Willard Psychiatric Center before retiring in 1976. An active member of the Lodi community, she was the first female county supervisor in New York State for the Town of Lodi, was a member of the Lodi Historical Society, and Lodi Presbyterian Church. Leona also was a member of the VFW Post 6200 and American Legion Post 463 Ladies Auxiliaries.

Leona is survived by two children, Tracy (Sherol) and Lewis (Lynne) Rosbaugh; step daughters in law, Edna, Florence and Maryjane Rosbaugh; several grandchildren and step-grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a sister in law, Lois Jennings; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Rosbaugh in 1984; stepchildren, Auressa, Dick, Nelson, and Forrest; and siblings, Charles, Clayton, and George Jennings.
