Margery Swick, passed over on December 22, 2021, she was 98 years and 7 months old.
She was born in Town of Ovid to H. Glenn and Olive (Palmer) Jennings of Romulus, NY. Marge graduated from Romulus Central School, was active in Romulus Grange, leader of Boy and Girl Scouts and a member of Varick Homemakers. She was an active member of the Ovid Federated Church and even a forklift operator at Seneca Army Depot during WWII.
She is survived by her children, twin sons, David and Donald Shaw, Linda (Thomas) Cornish, Brenda and Patricia Shaw; 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren, an two step great-great grandchildren; four step children, Joan Wane, Judy Marneau, Karen (Ronald) Wooledge, and James Swick, along with their children; and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Jennings and sister, Jeanne Williams; granddaughter, Cinnamon Pettingill; a great grand daughter and a great-great granddaughter and husbands, Henry Shaw and Edwin Swick.
The family will receive friends on December 27, 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:00pm at Ovid Federated Church. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Rob Mellgard, will follow at Noon. Prayers of committal will be held at Ovid Union Cemetery. Covid protocols will be in place and masks required. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Margery’s memory to the Ovid Federate Church.
