Maria (Nee Herrmann) Elmore

Maria (nee Herrmann) Elmore, age 83, died at Geneva General Hospital on Friday June 30, 2023.

Maria was born in Mainz, Germany on April 7, 1940. Gaining her primary education in Germany, Maria worked several jobs there before moving to the US, highlighted by working at a local winery and for Opel Automotive Manufacturing. Locally she worked for a number of years in housekeeping at Geneva General Hospital but will be remembered as a loving home maker for her entire family.

She is survived by her children; Doris Elmore, Charles D. Elmore, Maria (Richard) Ormond, Wilhelm Elmore and James (Michelle) Elmore; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ormond, Sarah Knight, Aaron and Matthew Elmore; and one great granddaughter, Nadalie Knight. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles E. Elmore 1977, and her siblings, Thea and Jurgen Karg.

Burial services were held privately for the family, as Maria now rests next to her late husband at Mount Green Cemetery in Romulus.
