Nancy A. (Nye) Pinette

Nancy A. Pinette, age 53, of 9348 Lodi-Covert Townline Road, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, February 8, 2024.

Nancy was born in Kentucky on September 30, 1970, a daughter of the late Milford and Geraldine Nye. She was a 1989 graduate of South Seneca High School and the following year, married her high school sweetheart, Paul Pinette. She had worked at Cayuga Medical Center and as a home health aide until overwhelming health issues forced her to retire. Nancy lovingly cared for her elderly clients and her pets.  Most importantly she focused on being the best wife, mother, and grandmother possible, a “job” she loved the most.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 34 years, Paul J. and her sons; Josh J. (Kelsey) Pinette of Trumansburg and Justin W. (Jennifer) Pinette of Lodi and her grandchildren; Emmett, Maya, Owen, Elijah and Oakley, a brother, Carl Nye and the extended Pinette family.  Nancy was preceded in death by her siblings, Pam Steen and Frank Nye.

The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home in Ovid from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
