Norwood was born in Salsbury, Maryland on August 13, 1957, a son of the late Freeman and Pauline (Parsons) Burke. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Norwood followed in the long time family tradition of working as a chicken farmer in Maryland, and then worked as a distributor for Pepsi Products. He moved to Seneca County a few years ago to be closer to his children and grandchildren. Norwood had a magnetic personality, and people of all walks of life were drawn to him. His children, and certainly his grandchildren, have wonderful memories of a man that loved them to pieces. They each have their special songs, tokens and memories to cherish forever.
He is survived by his children; Pam (Robert Brown) McDonald of Romulus, Jerry (Heidi) Burke of Romulus, Samantha (Billy) Webb and Danielle (Brad McCormick) Burke all of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Ross, Timothy, Brian, Matthew, Aleigha, R.J., Tasia, Jacob, Joey, Zachary, Delaney, Emma, Lincoln and Kennedy; his siblings, David (Edna) Burke, Verona (Billy) Lawrence and Faith (Jeff) Whaley all of Maryland.
