P. Miller Jeffrey

Jeffrey P. ‶Jeff″ Miller, age 57, of 1790 Gilbert Road, died unexpectedly on Sunday May 21, 2017.

Friends are invited to an open reception, hosted by the family, from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Friday, May 26, 2017 at American Legion Post #462 on Seneca Street in Ovid. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to the Elks Lodge # 992, PO Box 43, Seneca Falls, NY 13148 in Jeff❜s memory, so that they may continue their benevolent works for the community.

Jeff was born in Ogdensburg, NY on July 12, 1959, one of eight children born to Merrill ‶Molly″ and Betty Miller. He had worked for the DeKalb Highway Department for several years and lived in Florida before making Ovid his home in 2006. Jeff had worked for the Town of Fayette Highway Department since 2008. Jeff was a proud and supporting member of the Seneca Falls Elks Lodge #992, and had been an Elk for 33 years and had earned the title of esteemed leading knight. He enjoyed time with his family, camping and was always known to be ‶puttering in his garage″.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Jayne; his daughter, Amy (Grant) Tolbert of Owego; his mother, Betty Miller of Ellenton, FL; his siblings, Connie (Marty) Green of Trout Lake, Shirley (Ronald) Turbide of Canton, Kathy (Terry) Wright of DeKalb, Vicky (Tim) Vining of Albany, Robert (Stephanie) Miller of Ovid, John Miller of Rock Hill, SC, Michael (Dawn) Miller of Ovid; his aunt, Mary Miller of Potsdam; his father in law, James Newvine of Plattsburg and Jayne❜s children. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Molly Miller.
