P. Wilson Leonard

Leonard P. Wilson, age 78, of 3385 Potter Road, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, May 18, 2017.

Leonard was born in Interlaken on March 12, 1939, a son of Alfred and Ella Mae (Holford) Wilson. He attended Interlaken High School and remained in the area his entire lifetime. He was married to Barbara Everts on January 21, 1961, and they started their family soon after. He had worked for the Richard Hancy Farm in Hayts Corners, and retired from the Town of Ovid in 2001, where he had worked as an equipment operator. Leonard was a Life Member of the Interlaken and South Seneca Sportsmen❜s Clubs.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara; and his children, Lawrence A. (Kathy) Wilson of Waterloo, Robert Lee Wilson of Lodi, Connie Lynn (Terry) Wilson-Moore of Interlaken and Rachel Ann (Andrew) Wilson-Coney of Ovid; his grandchildren, Colleen, John, Sarah, April, Cheyenne, Sierra and Cole, and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Wilson and mother, Ella Mae Wilson Yonge, his step-father, Ralph Yonge and by his brothers, Elmer, Buddy and John.
