Patricia A. (Carnevale) Williams

Patricia A. Williams, age 73, of 7708 State Route 96 in Interlaken, passed away at home surrounded by the love of her family on Wednesday, July 21, 2021.

Pat was born in Oneida on December 30, 1947, one of four children of the late Raymond and Anna (Quattrociocchi) Carnevale, Sr. Pat was a three-sport athlete during her school years, and her love for sports continued throughout her life; she was an avid Syracuse University sports fan and rarely missed a game. Pat coached cheerleading at Trumansburg high school for fourteen years, fondly referring to her athletes as “toads,” a pet name she used for her daughters as well. Pat’s cheerleaders affectionately referred to her as “Willy,” and many of them kept in touch with her long after leaving school, recalling her oft-repeated phrase: “Don’t sweat the small stuff...and it’s all small stuff.”

Pat was a big fan of all types of music, but loved the Beatles most of all. Many will remember her for her “colorful” phrases and sayings, of which there were many! Most of all, Pat was devoted to her children and grandchildren; she delighted in spending time with the family all together, whether it be for birthdays, holidays, or backyard barbecues.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Martinez of Norwich and Michelle (Damien) Vogtman of Trumansburg; her beloved grandchildren, Lucas and Christopher “Cam” Martinez, Alexis, Renee, and Damien M. Vogtman; siblings, Roslyn (James) McConnell, Judith (Richard) Blair, and Raymond Carnevale, Jr.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Carnevale; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jeffrey Williams, in 2019.
