It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Paul David McCoy, age 79, on December 6th, 2024 at Geneva General Hospital .
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, Navy veteran, and hardworking member of the community, Paul lived a life of service, dedication, and strength. His legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Born on December 18, 1944 to William and Gertrude McCoy at home on Munson Road, Interlaken, NY. Paul spent the majority of his life on the farm, where he worked as a dairy farmer. He was deeply connected to the land and cared for his animals with the same love and devotion he gave his family. His commitment to dairy farming was evident in his tireless work ethic, long hours, and pride for his work.
In addition to his life as a farmer, Paul was an independent truck driver. He spent countless hours on the road, whether hauling equipment or supplies, his reliability and dedication earned him the respect of his peers and the admiration of all who worked alongside him.
Paul also proudly served in the United States Navy from 1964-1966. His time in the military was formative, and he carried the discipline, pride, and sense of duty learned in the Navy throughout his life. His service to his country was an integral part of who he was, and he always spoke fondly of the friendships and experiences he had during that time.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia McCoy; children Brian (Shannon) McCoy, Paulie (Cathy) McCoy, Tammy (Billy) Jones, and Kate (Clay) Kisner; grandchildren Briana McCoy, Christian McCoy, Bradley McCoy, Braden McCoy, Tim Brock, Brandon Brock; six great grandchildren; a brother, John McCoy; and a sister Mary Snyder.
