Robert F. Sherman

Robert F. Sherman, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at his home, with his loving family at his side.

In accordance with Robert’s wishes, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be held privately at Mount Green Cemetery for his family and close friends.

Robert was born in Waterloo, NY on June 26, 1943, a son of the late Floyd and Beatrice (nee Niver) Sherman. He graduated from Waterloo High School and was employed by Elderlee of Geneva for many years. Robert was a member of the MacDougall Sportsmen’s Club and loved to hunt in addition to spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving companion of many years, Alpa Gibbs of Romulus; a daughter, Dana (Mike) Nielsen of Geneva and Robert (Michele) Sherman-Tieskkun of Seneca Falls. Robert was a loving grandfather and great grandfather and has several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Platt and brother, Jim Sherman. And for his good friend and “angel”, Bryan Kent, we cannot thank him enough for all he has done for our family.
