Sabol Anna

Anna Sabol, age 92, longtime resident of Ovid, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Seneca View Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, where she had been a resident since 2003.

Anna was born in Johnson City, on June 1, 1926. She graduated from high school there and moved to the Ovid/Lodi area in 1954. She and her husband, Robert Sabol, operated their farm for many years, raising sheep, beef cattle, and crops. Anna loved singing, polka dancing, and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed nature and gardening.

Anna is survived by her children; Paul (Pat) Sabol of Fredonia, AZ; David (Zenta) Sabol of Cortland; Richard (Sue) Sabol of Ovid; Betty (Donald) Frederick of Cortland; Dan (Amy) Sabol of Ovid; and 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two sisters, Mary (Hank) Pratt of Binghamton and Olga (G.L.) Gifford of Punta Gorda, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1993, and son, Milton in 2018.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 South Main St, in Ovid, led by Rev. Lesley Adams.
