Stevens Diane

Diane Stevens passed away February 2, 2018 due to flu complications. She was born in Binghamton, NY on October 27, 1950 to Marilyn and Gerald Gunsauls. Diane graduated from North HS in 1967 and worked for the State of New York. Later she worked for BOCES in Ithaca with special needs children. She demonstrated patience, love, and joy with the children and trained her Labs to be amazing therapy dogs and accompanied her to work. Diane was a member of Conklin Ave. First Baptist Church in Binghamton and an active member of Christ Lutheran in Kidders.

Married to (late) Jim Stevens, the couple lived year around on Cayuga Lake and appreciated the beauty of each season. ‶Di″ will be remembered for her warmth, genuine hospitality, positive attitude, helping spirit, and strong faith. She is survived by her father (Gerald Gunsauls), a brother, Bob (Lorraine) Gunsauls , and step children Scott, Barbara, and Breen Stevens. God has just welcomed home one of His faithful children.

A memorial service to celebrate Diane❜s life, will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church in Kidders, officiated by Reverends Rob Foote and Cory Eckstrom.
