Tracy L. Wech

Tracy L. Wech, age 50, longtime resident of the Ovid area, passed away at Geneva General Hospital on Friday, May 28, 2021.

The family will receive friends at Covert Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Sunday, May 30, 2021.  A funeral service will then be held at 2:00, followed by prayers of committal at Ovid Union Cemetery. Tracy was born in Waterloo on November 2, 1970, the youngest daughter of Walter and Bessie (Barber) Wech.  She was a BOCES graduate and had worked through various programs at SeneCayuga ARC.  During those years she formed many special relationships with the staff and her co-workers.  Tracy was adored by her family, and she knew how to work all of the angles (whether it was her beaming smile or her stubborn persistence) with each of them to get exactly what she wanted and needed. Her favorite things were music, dancing, camping, gambling and being helpful with her jobs at home.

She is survived by her siblings, Walter “Pudge” Wech of Ovid, Robert (Juanita) Wech of Trumansburg, Bill Wech of Ovid, Elaine (Rick) Patterson of Elbridge and Sue Johnson of Interlaken and a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Walter and Bessie Wech, and sister in law, Suzann.
