V. Morrow Mary

Mary V. Morrow, age 78, longtime resident of Keady Road, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 3, 2018, following a recent cancer diagnosis.

Mary was born in Ithaca on July 17, 1939, a daughter of the late George L. and Hazel (Rosbaugh) VanVleet. She graduated from Interlaken High School and began a long career at Willard Psychiatric Center as a therapy aide. Following her retirement, she enjoyed gardening, helping to raise her grandchildren and cooking for the large family picnics and holidays.

She is survived by her children; Merrie (Rob) Warner of Binghamton, Jacquelyn (John Oberbeck) Morrow of Ovid, and Charles (Sarah VanOrden) Morrow of Ovid; 9 grandchildren, and her brothers, Frank (Mary Louise) VanVleet of Caton, Dana G. VanVleet of Ovid, Clair A. VanVleet of Florida and Carl R. VanVleet of Valois; her sister, Nelda J. MacDonald of Romulus and sister in law, Brenda VanVleet of Trumansburg. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle in 2011, by her brother, Douglas and brother in law, George MacDonald.

A Celebration of Mary❜s life will be held at the Interlaken Sportsmen❜s Club, 8561 Tunison Road, from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018, all of her friends and family are invited to join.
