Venera Godwin

Venera R. Godwin was called home to the Lord on August 8th, 2019.

Venera was born on July 29th, 1928 in Virginia. She was born and raised in Virginia. She came to New York two years ago to live with her son and daughter-in-law Mary. And in that short time had a whole community fall in love with ‶Mama Godwin″.

Venera had one daughter Lula Godwin and four sons, Carl L. Godwin, Roy Godwin, Ira Godwin and Archie Godwin. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She loved being with family and friends in the yard. You never needed an invitation to come to her house you were just always welcomed to stop by.

She will be laid to rest at Jerusalem Baptist Cemetery in Temperanceville, Virginia.
