Ada C. (Pollic) Cool

Ada C. Cool, age 89, of 4692 Cool’s Drive, passed away at her home on Monday, June 19, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:30am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Covert Funeral Home, 7199 Main Street in Ovid. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Friday, at Holy Cross Catholic Church by Fr. Bernard Maloney OFMCap. Prayers of committal will then be held at Lake View Cemetery in Interlaken.

Ada was born in Romulus on August 30, 1933, a daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth (nee Draheim) Pollic. She worked as an accountant for the Geneva Chapter of the American Red Cross, Towns of Lodi and Varick and Holy Cross Church.  She was a quiet, humble woman that lived by example, dedicating her lifes’ work to service.  She was married to William J. Cool in 1973 and remained his steadfast companion until his death in 2019.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Costello of Wilkesboro, NC; her granddaughters, Emma L. (Jay) VanCuran of Deltona, FL and Kathryn M. Costello; great grandsons, Nathaniel D. and Nicholas R. VanCuran; a sister, Arlene Thompson, and by the extended Cool Family. Ada was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-father, Bernice Lum, siblings; Joyce Bertha Phillips, Jean Vreeland, Wanda Walberger, and Margaret “Peggy” Ridley.
